Jerry D. Bauserman Jerry Dwayne Bauserman, 42, of Daphna Road in Broadway, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. Mr. Bauserman was born Oct. 30, 1962, in Harrisonburg, and was a son of Joseph M. Bauserman of Colorado and Anna Solka Reedy of Singers Glen. He worked for Rockingham County Fire and Rescue, where he served as assistant chief, since 1988. He was a life member of Hose Company No. 4 in Harrisonburg and also was a Virginia State Fire Chief Association member. Mr. Bauserman was a Virginia Hazardous Material response specialist and was a member of the Virginia Association of Fire Investigators. He graduated from Spotswood High School in 1981. On Sept. 9, 2000, he married the former Julie Crider, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Madison Bauserman, and a son, Bryce Bauserman, both at home; a brother, James Bauserman of Coca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Libby Malarkey of Orange Park, Fla.; and stepmother, Lillian Bauserman of Colorado. The Rev. Paul Roth and Pastor W.L. "Sonny" Henkel will conduct the funeral 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren in Broadway. Burial will follow at Linville Creek Cemetery with honors by the Rockingham County Department of Fire and Rescue Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren. Arrangements are by the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
